‍‍项目原址为故宫博物院紫荆城琉璃厂窑场，位于海淀区西北旺镇，景观面积195,000平方米，由故宫博物院开发建设。改造后的园艺研究中心将成为故宫的材料库以及培训基地，所以重新规划和设计就迫在眉睫。设计在保护清代玉河窑遗址和生态湿地的基础上还将和周围的文化旅游风景区一样相映生辉，成为当地城市文化建设和旅游发展中一块重要的绿地资料。‍‍

‍‍The project is located in Haidian district and covers an area of 195,000 square meters. The site originally contained the glass kiln of the Forbidden City, while today it became the its database and training center, so it urged a re-planning and re-design. The design aimed to protect the Qing dynasty's kiln site ruins and its natural wetland, reflecting as well the touristic atmosphere of the surroundings, making this site an important green example for local urban culture and tourism development.‍‍
